About the service

How Flu Vaccination works with OccuMed

Seasonal flu costs employers days they had planned to have. Vaccination will not eliminate that, but it reduces it, and it does so at a cost per employee that is lower than almost any other intervention you could make.

We run clinics on your site, so people are vaccinated between tasks rather than losing an afternoon to an appointment. Where teams are dispersed, or numbers on a site are too small to justify a clinic, vouchers let people go to a participating pharmacy instead. Most clients use both.

Vaccination is administered by registered clinicians under a Patient Group Direction, with consent taken and records kept. You receive uptake figures across your workforce, not individual records.

Workplace vaccination sits alongside the NHS programme rather than replacing it. Employees who are eligible on the NHS can still use it, and we will tell them so.

  1. 01

    On-Site Clinics

We come to your site and vaccinate your teams around their shifts. Minimum numbers apply, so smaller sites are often better served by vouchers.

  2. 02

    Voucher Scheme

Employees redeem a voucher at a participating pharmacy, which suits dispersed teams, home workers and small sites.

  3. 03

    Book Your Dates Early

Vaccine supply and clinic dates are finite. Clinics run from September, and dates are usually agreed over the summer.

  4. 04

    Clinically Governed

Administered by registered clinicians under a Patient Group Direction, with consent and records handled properly.

  5. 05

    Uptake Reporting

You receive uptake figures across sites and teams. Individual vaccination records stay confidential.
