Pre-Placement
Pre-placement assessment tells you whether a new starter is fit for the role they have been offered, what adjustments would help them do it safely, and whether anything needs putting in place before their first shift. Carried out after the offer is made, so your process stays the right side of the Equality Act.

How Pre-Placement works with OccuMed
Bringing someone new into the business is a moment of risk as well as a moment of optimism. You are about to put a person into a role, and neither of you yet know whether the role suits them.
Pre-placement assessment answers that before day one. Not whether someone is healthy in general, but whether they are suited to this job: the lifting, the shift pattern, the noise, the driving, the confined spaces. And where something needs adjusting, what would actually work.
Assessment happens after the offer has been made, which keeps your process the right side of section 60 of the Equality Act 2010. Most roles are cleared on a health questionnaire alone. Where the answers or the role demand more, our clinicians follow up directly, by phone or in person.
You receive a clear fitness outcome and any recommended adjustments. You do not receive clinical detail or diagnoses, and the report is written so a line manager can act on it without needing a clinician to interpret it.
